Sleeveless dresses are our go-to outfit during the heat of the summer, because let's be honest, we need a loose fitting, breathable silhouette to get anything done when the mercury rises. Sew Caroline's Tank Dress is a perfect summer staple. The gathered back waist makes for a flattering hourglass shape, while the flowy dress front makes this a dress you can literally wear all day and night long. Sew this one up in a lightweight cotton and it'll be the only thing you will want to put on post fourth of July. Trust us on this one.

The dress pictured above was created by Erin from Sewbon.

Additional Notes

This PDF pattern includes all pattern pieces and step-by-step instructions with color photos.

I will need to play around with the pattern a lot to get it to how I like. Examples being the neckline height, height of pockets and how they currently sit, height of the shearing, and the internal seam finishings. I have never done shearing or bias hemming before and had to seek external tutorials to achieve these.

The finished product is probably not one I'll wear often as the pockets interfere with the shape. I will definitely remake with alterations though as the fit is very comfortable.

VERY accurate sizing! I love this pattern! I omitted the elastic in the back and lengthened by 3 inches.

Very well written with clear instructions. My sister-in-law asked if I had lost weight, I hadn't, so the cut is very flattering.
