Additional Notes

This sewing pattern includes all pattern pieces and step-by-step instructions with illustrations.

I was impressed with the instructions, but would have liked an illustrated pattern layout. There are just two size options in the pattern and, even though I'm a 20/22, the larger one is pretty roomy. All in all great, though! It's a fabulous pattern, great for beginners and quick to sew.

Super easy pattern with tons of different options for lengths and finishings. I chose to skip over step 1 (cutting bias strips from the fabric) and instead chose to finish with bias tape in a contrast colour (mint green from the flowers on the fabric) and it turned out really well and added a little bit of interest.

There were some tricky spots with the pattern for a beginner. I had to figure out that the bias tape was one long piece that included the neck and the bias tape flips out a lot instead of lying flat. Also the sizing was a little confusing. I made it based on my measurements and the medium/large is a bit big on me. It was fun to make.

This is my first Sew Caroline pattern and I'm so pleased with how it turned out! Easy to put the PDF pattern together and the required yardage was spot on. She also does a great job of including helpful little tips throughout the instructions, like using a longer stitch for topstitching. Never would have thought of that, but it looks so nice!

Great beginner pattern!

A great pattern that provides amazing results. This will be the first of several kimonos I will make this season.
