Description

The Hunter Tank designed by Jennifer Lauren Vintage is a bias-cut, cropped tank top. Both views of the Hunter Tank have bust darts for shaping. View 1 has a wider shoulder strap and a tiny breast pocket. View 2 has narrow straps and the pocket can be omitted.

The tie-waist enables the tank top to sit at the natural waist making this a perfect pairing with high waist jeans and skirts. A chambray fabric with slight drape would make for a summery Hunter that you could pair with a solid or striped full circle skirt and a pair of wedges. Sew up a dressier version in an eyelet with a contrasting lining or underlay.

Additional Notes

This sewing pattern includes all pattern pieces and step-by-step instructions with illustrations.

Construction is a bit tough with slippery fabrics (my first try was with Rayon) but after making the top twice, it got much easier.

I have shown several friends this pattern and they are all asking me to make a version for them. This is a great pattern to use when making a gift for a friend, since it's so easy to create.

I took in a lot along the front seam--this could be due to the bias seam there!
