Additional Notes

This pattern (both paper and digital formats) includes all pattern pieces and instructions with illustrations.

Designer Note: Pieces 28 & 29 are slightly too long for sizes 0-16 evening out at size 18. You can download a 5 page PDF containing the updated pattern pieces here. Also, the labeling on pieces 13 & 14 are switched.

My chest measurement is between the 0 and 2 sizes, but I tend to wear more fitted clothing so decided to stick with the 0. I'm definitely happy I didn't go with the 2 as I still have PLENTY of ease. (especially in the hip area) The coat did not take long to sew once the pieces were all cut and interfaced. The only thing I would change if I were starting over would be to lengthen the sleeves. I'm only 5'3" and they feel about a half to full inch short, so I would assume a taller person would have a real issue. I'm currently knitting a cuff to attach to extend from the bottom of the sleeve.

Sizing on this pattern is spot on and the instructions were easy to follow.

This pattern is really easy to follow - there are lots of pattern pieces but if you just take it step by step its okay. The coat is just a teeny bit too short for my liking. I have since made another spring version out of twill where I have lengthened the pattern by roughly 7cm. I would definitely recommend this coat pattern for first time coat sewers.

Great Pattern! I will definitely make it again.

Fantastic pattern. Fit was spot on. Pieces fit together as they should. Clear instructions. Excellent illustrations. Everything you could ask for in a well written pattern.

Great pattern! I was really nervous to sew a coat, thinking it would be challenging! The instructions were great and walked me through every step perfectly!
