What's more timeless than a boatneck tee or dress? The neck shape is flattering on even the most narrow shouldered ladies and the garment feels almost...French? Luckily Blank Slate Patterns has delivered the perfect pattern in the Shoreline Boatneck Tee and Dress. This pattern is super versatile, giving you two length options (shirt or dress) and three sleeve length options (short, 3/4, or long). Sew your Shoreline up in your your favorite cream and red striped knit fabric, wrap a dainty scarf around your neck , throw on some big sunglasses and go grab a strong cup of espresso. You're wearing a boatneck, it's appropriate.

Additional Notes

This 53-page PDF pattern includes all pattern pieces and step-by-step instructions with color photos.

I've already made two and I plan on making more!

Some sleeve notches for assistance for setting sleeves would be nice. I thought I just missed transferring them the first time but I printed again to make a different size and still couldn't find them.
Otherwise it was easy to sew.

The only thing I was wishing for on this pattern was the typical front and back markings on the sleeve head and arm scythe. I didn't need them for constructing the seam, but it would have made stripe matching between the sleeve and bodice so much easier.
I'd be pleased if you check out my blog post on the Shoreline for details on how I did the bodice hack.

Great basic pattern that you can do so much with.

So many patterns do not help people with sergers figure out how to get the "just right" seam. Like this pattern, but, as with many others, wish for help with getting accurate settings to make seams correct. Have had serger for over a decade. Maybe just dumb on this point, or maybe a HUGE need for some standardization in the industry to support home sewists, but first attempt a tad off-size. Serger?
