Willow Tank batik
I got myself ready to make my own clothes years ago. I bought fabric, patterns and supplies. When I finally got up the nerve to try I took a short class at Intown Quilters for the Willow Tank. It was enlightening. I can do it, anyone can do it! This pattern is easy to measure, cut and sew. I cut a straight size 16 with no alterations. The bust darts give a nice fitting look. Personally, I wasn't comfortable with my upper arms showing so I copied a basic little cap sleeve from another pattern and it went on with no trouble. I added it after I sewed the armholes. It's a perfect summer top, or a layered top in colder weather without the sleeves. I am so excited, I have some extra fabric to make a matching skirt. I already have the pattern ready to cut out a Willow Tank Dress. This is the beginning of Me Made Clothes! Thanks Grainline Studio!
