I decided to enter the world of pants making with the Ultimate Trousers and I was surprised at how simple it was! I used a stretch cotton twill with viking helmets and swords and daggers and battle axes.
I probably ought to do some sort of crotch adjustment on my next pair.
The trickiest part was the invisible zip--though, to be fair, it was my first EVER invisible zip. I'm still not sure about the bottom of the zip, but it's wearable and I've worn them often!
Since I am a little above average in height, I should have lengthened the legs. Since there were no lengthen lines, though, and I'm such a sewing newbie, I did not feel confident lengthening them. I thought I would just call them cropped.
Unfortunately, they are just a smidge too cropped, and so I cuff them and call them capris. I have plans to cut them to a bermuda short length. And now I know to lengthen the next pair by about four inches.
