I have been dying to join in on selfish sewing week, but had a ton of other stuff that I had to get sewn and shipped before I could allow myself a little “selfish” time! So I am barely squeezing in before the deadline of selfish sewing week coming to an end, but better late than never right?!
I have had this fabric for a few weeks and was really wanting to make something feminine and springy out of it, so with that in mind I searched through the available patterns and this fox glove tank seemed like it would work well with my vision for the fabric I had.
The fabric was so pretty when layered, but looked rather plain, see through, and too close to my skin color for just one layer of it. So instead i cut 3 of the front, and 3 of the bottom half of the back and cut each hemline a little shorter than the last so you can really see all of the layers.. I did a color block with a knit lace fabric I had for the top back.
The fabric was seriously the most complicated fabric I have ever worked with and I don’t know if I would ever use it again! hah, but I do love the way it drapes and how soft and springy it looks.
