Out and About Dress by Jordan
This is by far my favorite dress pattern. This is my 3rd successful Out & About Dress. Caroline's instructions are really clear (even for a beginner - this was the 1st garment pattern I ever attempted successfully). Since making my first version, I've picked up a few tricks like adding elastic to the waist, using a twin needle and reinforcing the shoulder seams with twill tape. Despite those "upgrades," my first version (which has none of those and was made with a plain zig-zag stitch) gets a ton of wear and is holding up quite nicely.
I made this version (long sleeved) with a super soft ponte de roma fabric which is a wonderful weight and drape for this pattern.
I graded my pattern some between the small and medium size. I've also shortened the bodice a bit (maybe around 3-4 inches) to make it fit my petite frame a little better.
