ponddrop's Jamie Jeans by Named Clothing
As much as I like to look at dresses and skirts, I hardly ever wear them. When I decided to move toward a me-made wardrobe, I started looking at patterns for trousers and jeans. I picked this pattern after seeing some of the many fabulous creations.
This pair was supposed to be an exercise in learning. I didn't really expect to be able to wear them. I downloaded and assembled the pattern, but delayed starting because I couldn't make sense of all the pattern instructions. Thanks to the Indiesew blog's Jamie Jeans sewalong, however, I was able to complete them, and they are fabulous! They fit like a glove and the only real error I made was in the cutting and assembly of the waistband and finishing the buttonhole - my machine didn't want to make it through the layers of fabric.
I will definitely be making the pattern again - it fits like a glove and looks professional.
