Black Top of Floppiness
For my second Lou Box Top, I wanted to try a different fabric - the cotton batiste I used for the first one was light but had a lot of structure, so I decided to have a go at a rayon to see what sort of difference more drape would make. I also wanted to try the scoopneck version to see what that looked like on me. The result is this very floppy black top. The rayon was a little challenging to work with for a beginner (especially with the freak-out about stretched neckline that totally bounced back in the wash), but I'm still pretty pleased with the result. The rayon is lovely to wear and I felt miraculously put-together even just wearing it with jeans down the shops.
I used the same size as last time (M-L) and also the curved hem again - I had been contemplating using the high/low hem, but my yardage was a little limited and I didn't want to think about the FBA that would be needed to ensure that the 'high' ended up where it should.
