Indiesew | 2018 Shirt Month Webinar

UPDATE: Our Shirt Month Webinar is now full. Thank you for your interest!

Our 2018 Shirt Month is off to great start! Our inaugural event has seen a lot of action from the sewing world, with many of you using #shirtmonth on Instagram to play along. If you have plans to sew a collared button-up shirt, popover, or shirtdress in 2018, this is the month to do it!

For this event, we've decided to try something brand new: an online webinar! With sewing, we can sometimes feel a bit disconnected from other sewists because our hobby is a pretty introverted one. We want to bring forty of you together in an online event where we get to answer your shirt- and shirtdress-related questions!

We so often get asked how the Cheyenne (View A) differs from the Archer or how the Willamette differs from the Kalle. So, in this webinar we'll be listing all of those details and giving advice for patterns to try for different sewing levels! If you're interested in this topic please register using the link below.

The topic of this webinar will be focused primarily on comparing and contrasting the different button-up shirt, collared popover, and shirt dress sewing patterns in the Indiesew Shop!  We will not be talking extensively about specific shirt-making techniques in this webinar.

Here are the webinar details:

  • The webinar will be held Friday, January 19th at 10 a.m. MST (please note our time zone and if it differs from yours).
  • The webinar will be an exclusive online video conference where participants can view our presentation (lead by Allie) in real time. If time allows, participant Q&A will be held at the end of the webinar.
  • Participants must have access to a computer or mobile device to participate in the webinar.
  • The webinar is limited to 40 attendees.
  • When registering, attendees may submit a question they'd like us to address in the webinar. We cannot guarantee that all questions will be answered in the webinar due to time constraints.
  • Once registered, we will send out additional details to the webinar attendees.

The registration form will automatically shut down once we receive 40 registrations.

This webinar will be a fun experiment to see if the Indiesew community will find this format of instruction useful. We hope it allows us to get to know you all a bit better too! If all goes well, you can expect more webinars in the future.

Happy sewing!
