Finally (finally!) the 2017 Fall/Winter Collection has arrived! This one spent a long time in the planning stages, folks. It was one of those projects where the details didn't pull together until the end. But the day I received these photos back from the photographer? Yeah, I knew that this pattern bundle and complementary fabrics were some of our best yet.
The 2017 Fall/Winter Collection includes five sewing patterns that mix and match to create a small cold-weather capsule wardrobe. The five fabrics you see below are also for sale as part of this season's fabric collection. But let's not waste any more time...
The pattern players
Coram Top and Dress
My third design under my personal brand is the Coram Top and Dress! Unlike my last two patterns, this design is geared towards the beginner sewist and sews up in a snap.
Coram is a boxy woven top (or dress, see in the cover photo above) with cuffed raglan sleeves and shoulder and bust darts for shaping. We sewed this top in our Autumn Blooms Crepe to add some visual interest to this simple silhouette.
Burnside Bibs
We've been eyeing the Burnside Bibs sewing pattern since Sew House Seven released it earlier this year. It turns out that Version 1 sewn in our Ice Tencel Twill is everything we ever wanted in overalls.
The Burnside Bibs are modern overalls with varying front bib options, pant options, a waistband, front and back pockets, and crossed back straps.
Tamarack Jacket
The Tamarack Jacket has been on the market for a while now, and with each version we saw sewn it was clear that we had to include it in this bundle.
We sewed our Tamarack Jacket in our Watermelon Ribbed Tencel Twill. It was an unlikely choice for this design, but turned out exactly as we had imagined. We lined the jacket with the Autumn Blooms Crepe for a flash of print when the sleeves are rolled up.
Matcha Top
Sew Liberated has been a household name in the indie pattern world and we've been dying to try some of their patterns. The Matcha Top was released earlier this year and it is the swingy, boxy top of our dreams.
We sewed this Matcha Top in our Eggplant Rayon Crepe and the heavy drape of this fabric makes this design sing.
Carrie Cardigan
Delia's Carrie Cardigan is the perfect cocoon cardigan for chilly weather. We sewed ours up in our new Charcoal French Terry and used our Heather Grey Rayon Spandex jersey for the cuffs.
Perhaps our favorite thing about this cardigan is that it pairs with anything! It looks great worn over the Coram Dress or with the Matcha Top and a pair of jeans.
Bundle and Save!
The best part? This pattern collection comes with big savings built into both the full and mini bundles.
The Mini Fall/Winter Collection bundle includes the Carrie Cardigan, Coram Top and Dress, and the Matcha Top. This bundle is priced at $29, a savings of 20% over the individually priced patterns.
But, if you go for the Full Fall/Winter Collection bundle, which includes all five sewing patterns listed above, you’ll save 25%! Priced at just $49, that averages out to less than $10 for each design!
Of course, we have some additional savings for the early birds! The first 25 people to purchase anything collection related (the full or mini bundle, any individual pattern in the collection, OR any collection fabrics) will receive an extra 10% off!
Use coupon code BUNDLEFW17 at checkout. But hurry, this coupon will go quickly!
2017 Fall/Winter Fabric Collection
Once again, we've sourced five complementary fabrics for this collection. Each is designer overstock yardage from the LA Fashion District and is totally unique. Hop on over to the Indiesew Fabric Shop to see them all.
And we've got three great indie fabric stores carrying these fabrics this season! Each of the fabric stores listed below will have these fabrics available for purchase and have the samples on display for a two-week window.
Fancy Tiger Crafts (Denver, CO): samples on display until October 23rd
Sew to Speak (Worthington, OH): samples on display October 26th until November 6th
Finch Knitting + Sewing Studio (Leesburg, VA): samples on display November 9th until November 20th
Blog Tour
And it wouldn't be a collection launch without a stellar blog tour lineup! This year we've got seven bloggers ready to show us their interpretation of this pattern batch.
Be sure to check out each of their blogs over the next two weeks to see their makes!
Oct 18: Grainline Studio
Oct 20: My Handmade Wardrobe
Oct 23: The Doing Things Blog
Oct 24: Sweet KM
Oct 25: Sew House Seven

And of course, we'll be bringing out lots more Fall/Winter Collection inspiration over the next few months. Be sure to follow along with us on Instagram to stay in the know!
Happy sewing!
