As we prepare to plunge into bone-chilling weather here in the US, it seems utterly appropriate that this be the day we launch the Indiesew Winter Collection. It seems only fitting that as I sit typing this, wearing my maxi Out and About Dress, sipping my hot tea, and curled up under my favorite blanket that we get to unveil what I've been hinting at for weeks. It is so officially winter here.
Yes, it's true. The Indiesew Winter Collection is here and it’s guaranteed to take your current cold-weather wardrobe to a whole new level. It doesn’t hurt that we photographed this collection high atop a mountain and among the pine trees here in Boulder with a beautiful woman. Spoiler alert: There are many more pretty photos coming your way!
The 2015 Winter Collection is a mix of basic pieces and patterns that pop, from some of the most renowned indie pattern designers in the sewing community. We’re launching this collection with not one, but two brand new patterns to the Indiesew shop created by new Indiesew designers! We're so excited to welcome Made by Rae and her stellar sewing patterns (more coming soon!) into the Indiesew community along with sewing blogger, Delia Creates, and her first women's sewing pattern. Rounding out the collection with classic patterns from Sew Caroline, Hey June and LBG Studio made perfect sense.
Each pattern in the collection is extremely versatile and can be modified to fit your weather wardrobe whether you live in Manitoba or Miami. So let’s get right down to it. Let’s see what this Winter Collection is made of.
The Pattern Players
Out and About Dress by Sew Caroline
Pleated Pencil Skirt by Delia Creates (New!)
Union St Tee by Hey June
Josephine Top by Made by Rae (New!)
Leather Accent Pouch by LBG Studio

Once again we’re bringing this mix of complementary patterns to you as a bundle. By buying the Indiesew Winter Collection bundle you’ll save over 15% and receive all five patterns instantly, so you can set to work revamping your closet for the impending snow storm on Wednesday, stat.
The Lookbook
With this collection we've taken to the outdoors and shown you how the Winter Collection's five patterns make up three stellar winter outfits, ranging from work-appropriate to errand-running at its best. Not to mention, that wearing these five patterns as separates will increase the versatility of your closet. I mean, what doesn't go with a classic scoop neck, long sleeved tee like the Union St Tee?

Winter Collection Happenings
For the next two weeks you’ll see a lot more of the Winter Collection for endless sewing inspiration. Six amazing sewing bloggers will be showing you how they sew and wear the Indiesew Winter Collection. Today, head on over to Sew Caroline, and see how the designer of the Out and About Dress sewed up these patterns for Texas winters. You won't be disappointed.
Stay tuned to the Indiesew blog because in the coming days we'll be showing you a sneak peek of how we sewed up each of the patterns (think pencil skirt linings and hand printed fabric!) and give you tips and tricks for creating your own winter collection wardrobe.
